The SnapTrek Warranty Statement
At SnapTrek, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our gear. If something isn’t right, we’re here to make it right.
1. Statutory Rights
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This Warranty Statement is provided in addition to your rights under the ACL.
2. SnapTrek Limited Warranty
We offer a 12-month limited warranty on most SnapTrek-branded products purchased directly through our website (www.snaptrek.com.au) or authorised stockists. This warranty covers:
- Defects in materials or workmanship
- Manufacturing faults
- Structural issues that arise under normal, intended use
3. What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or improper care
- General wear and tear, including fading, abrasion, or rust
- Accidental damage (drops, tears, burns, etc.)
- Damage due to extreme weather or environmental conditions
- Modifications or repairs not authorised by SnapTrek
- Commercial or rental use
4. Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact us at contactus@snaptrek.com.au with the following details:
- Your original order number or proof of purchase
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the affected product or defect
We’ll assess your claim and, if valid, offer one of the following:
- A repair (where possible)
- A replacement (of the same or equivalent product)
- A full or partial refund (if a replacement is not available)
Please note: We may require the faulty item to be returned for inspection before processing your claim.
5. Warranty Duration
The standard warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated on the product page. Some items may have extended warranties, which will be clearly noted at time of purchase.
6. Warranty on Replacements
Any replacement item provided under warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days from the date of replacement—whichever is longer.
